This is a fund for our department's promising graduate students.

Gordon Owen was the second faculty member in the Communication Studies Department and served as Department Head for many years, growing the department significantly. He also created the method for how we teach the COMM 265G Large Lecture/Lab classes.

The Department seeks to Honor Dr. Owen by awarding this to Graduate Students who have great financial need and demonstrate dedication to the department through their efforts in the Undergraduate Communication Association and/or through conducting research and presenting it at conferences.
